New HQ for National Event Company

Instructions were issued by a national Events Management company backed by Private Equity funding. The company required a new London HQ for the rapid expansion of the business and to enhance colleague workplace experience. For business-critical reasons the project was urgent with very demanding timelines.

Director Group completed a full review of all the available business space, including off-market opportunities. Within 2 weeks ideal space was identified with terms agreed shortly thereafter. The lease for the premises was agreed and signed within 6 weeks. In the interim a full D&B fit-out for the space with workplace utilisation and design specification was agreed, tendered and contract awarded to allow mobilisation on the lease start date.

The fit-out was completed 2 weeks ahead of programme, to budget and enhanced design with full furniture tender undertaken and delivered.

Legacy property issues where closed down and a full project programme of 3 months and 1 week was achieved. The space is now a fabulous new HQ for 35 people providing hugely enhanced environment for a rapidly growing successful client.

Project Management: Manchester Relocation

Our client is a UK building services company which due to ongoing expansion were looking to relocate to larger premises in Manchester.

Although our client has the skills to deliver this project, they recognised that an internal project manager would need to politically satisfy internal stakeholders which could be time consuming and delay the outcome.

Director Group was asked to review their workplace strategy and prepare a brief, identifying their location needs, capital budgets and site selection criteria. We undertook a detailed search across the market and analysed all options achieving a short-list of opportunities. These were presented with negotiated lease-terms, capital fit-out plans and budgets, together with operational costs across all option.

Having established a good working relationship with the client we went onto manage the fit-out design and tender process, through to overseeing the project delivery and relocation.
