Biomedical HQ and Production Site Relocation
A biomedical client based in mainland Europe has operations and services around the globe. The UK headquarters building which is combined with their main production, sales and support facilities learnt that their landlord would not renew their lease at expiry.
The senior management team took advice from their property agent and received limited visibility to available sites and faced relocating the operation to an unsuitable property solution.
As part of the Global HQ approval process, we were asked to check the outcomes from the original agent’s property search. We were able to show an additional 12 options, previously unseen, and were instructed to draw up a short list that fitted the site selection criteria and location strategy we had helped to draft. Within 5 weeks from initial contact, we were instructed to agree final heads of terms on the selected location and solicitors were instructed.
Director Group continues to support the client through the design and procurement of the workplace which includes highly technical production space, state of the art laboratory and production clean environments together with traditional office and customer demonstration environments.
