Robert has an engineering background and over 30 year’s experience in Facilities Management with the last 20 years specialising in Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Corporate Risk. His experience has led to a proactive approach to the management of strategic and operational problems within real estate portfolios.

Following the tragic Grenfell Tower fire in London, Robert has joined several working groups feeding into the government – including the Dame Judith Hackitt review where he has been reviewing legislation and guidance for the occupation and management of high risk buildings.

Robert is the past Deputy Chairman of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and current Chairman of the BIFM Health & Safety Specialist Interest Group.

Robert is also the co-author of the health and safety manual for FM’s titled ‘Simply Safety’ and also the BIFM good practice guides ‘The Management of the Health and Safety Performance of Contractors’ & ‘Fire Safety Management’.

Robert established his business Assured Safety and Risk Management Ltd back in 2014  and since then has provided Environmental Health and Safety advise to a number of high profile clients.
